Wheat Sheaf Tile Panel.
Fall of 2014 I met with Michelle of Fox Glove design….when Michelle came by the studio she saw how I could create tiles to her specification. Michelle commissioned me to create the backsplash in her showroom.
I worked to Michelles specifications on a Wheatsheaf design with Fleur de Lis corner for the main focal tiles.
The hand cut field tiles and border I created worked well with the centre Wheatsheat panel to create a sophisticated country look to go with the kitchen cupboards.
The handmade wheatsheaf tile panel was mounted on a thin piece of play wood then installed so that when they move they can take the panel with them.
I even installed the tiles!
Below are images of the tiles in progress from start to finish, the wet stage, glazed, installing and final installation.
